Halloween Scenes

After trick-or-treating in the rain, we came home to warm up, sort candy (the glutenated stuff will go to friends), and begin the Great Candy Exchange.

Always Bring the Camera

You might come across something worth shooting.

Reliable Fun

I bought this Sorry game at a yard sale when Luke was a toddler. It has been worth every penny I paid for it, and then some.

In the Field

I saw this scene today and kept driving, but not for long. Getting the shot involved two changes of direction, but it was worth it.

Today, we bought a black hoodie, black cape and black Duck Tape for Jack. He's decided he wants to be a Ring Wraith (from Lord of the Rings) for Halloween. Henry helped him get into character.

Outside Lessons

After Bridget, Henry and I dropped Luke off for his driver's ed. driving time and did the grocery shopping (Sam, Jack and Stella were home with Dennis), we went to the lake. It was nice to get out and about before the clouds rolled in. I'll count our lake excursion as nature study/science for Henry and photography field work for Bridget.

Like a Fish

Stella was quite happy to see that today's rain brought her favorite mud puddle back to life.

I could count the foods Stella will eat and still have a few fingers left over, so when she asked for an apple with peanut butter yesterday, I couldn't prepare it fast enough. This evening, I almost danced a jig when she asked for another.

Flowers and Pumpkins

Our local orchard shop is looking rather autumnal these days.
