Red

Once the kids were finished with their lessons, I stepped outside. Seeing this little beauty, I stepped back in for the camera. I was happy to find "Ruby" still hanging around.

A Day at the Beach

After morning appointments, the kids and I went to Crescent Beach in Cape Elizabeth, then headed to Portland, where Dennis and his presales teammates were setting up for a customer event. We finally got to meet the people Dennis works with, and found them all lovely. Oh, and the kids snagged scrumptious treats at Bam Bam, a gluten-free bakery a block from the restaurant where we met Dennis and his compatriots. We're calling it a field trip day.

Disc Golf

Dennis and I got Sam a disc golf goal and three discs for his birthday. Sam and Luke (and Henry) put the equipment through its paces today.

Sam's Birthday

He is twelve. It's still a tie between the teens and non-teens.

Printing Process

For Stella and Jack's art lesson today, I pulled out an old favorite: Ed Emberley's Fingerprint Drawing Book.

Thursdays

Stella's fancy purple skirt is a hand-me-down from her cousin. Apparently, it was the perfect choice for today's activities.

Good Guys

Bridget's friend Abby showed up today, so she and Bridget could go mini-golfing, but Abby's car had different ideas. It had gotten Abby here, but wasn't going to take her anywhere else right away. The power steering was suddenly gone. Dennis to the rescue (sort of)! He quickly realized that the serpentine belt had broken. Since Abby's dad had replaced the belt once and still had the original in the car, Dennis went ahead and put it on. After a bit of wrangling, the job seemed finished, but the pulley related to the A/C wasn't turning, and Dennis was concerned the belt could break at any time. So, Luke came to the rescue and drove Abby to work. Her parents came and collected the car this evening, before retrieving Abby.
