Hindsight

After all that Bridget's been through -- diabetic ketoacidosis that put her in PICU at Maine Medical Center -- I look back at this most recent photo for clues about what was to come. She doesn't look especially good: the shiners under her eyes, which also look slightly sunken, and a thinness to her face that wasn't there a few months ago. At this point, though, looking back is unimportant. Bridget's on the mend, we're figuring things out and dealing with what life sends our way.
