Jack: the Mild Version

A little more than a year ago, when Jack was about 1.5 years old, he was busy. After living with 2.5-year-old Jack, though, the younger version seems so much tamer. I'm sure we thought he was a handful, but, in hindsight, perhaps we should have reveled in his precociousness. Now, "precocious" seems like too mild an adjective for the boy. Today, for instance, Jack broke the up-arrow key on my computer while racing the mouse back and forth over the keyboard; stood on the dog until she cried; got trapped in the basement behind piles of stuff while trying to climb the unused bunk bed ladder down there; stuck a broom in the dryer; hit Sam with a curtain rod. I could go on, but I'll stop now, before I start crying.
