Chipping Away

We can now see more asphalt on the driveway than ice and snow. That is reason to celebrate.

On a slightly different note: I have a request. I recently learned about the plight of Tamara and her adopted daughter Michelle. You can get the whole story here. But the long and short of it is that Michelle, an 18-year-old survivor of Shaken Baby Syndrome, could really use a standing wheelchair. It costs about $45,000. Insurance would have paid for it, but the custom wheelchair got delivered two days after Tamara's husband retired from the military, and the insurance company refused to pay because of this technicality (Oh, and to top it off, Tamara suffers from Multiple Sclerosis and can no longer care lift Michelle and do her daily care.) Here's the request: will you please help this family chip away at that $45,000 by making a donation to their crowd funding campaign? Dennis and I have contributed (it was a simple process). The kids are checking their piggy banks, and I told them that I'd match whatever they can pool together. Thank you.
