A Lily

It feels like it’s time to work on my drawing skills again. I started in on this lily last week, using a watercolor painting by Nancy Meadows Taylor as a reference, and finished the job today. I’m disappointed with the petal in the upper right. Before deciding I’d add color, I shaded that petal with my pencil, and nothing I tried once I got out the Faber-Castell colored pencils could get it to match the look I was after, which I did manage to accomplish in the rest of the image (thankfully).
