Scenes from Our Day

Luke finished a two-day tournament in Cumberland. He came in second and was incredibly angry and disappointed by the loss. The winner beat him by a stroke, but without the two-stroke penalty for picking up the wrong ball, Luke would have won.

Once we left the course, we headed to Freeport, where we checked out a new yarn store, Casco Bay Fibers (Bridget loves the fibers; I love to photograph them) and L.L. Bean, an old favorite.

Second place hurts. It's the most painful finishing position. Third, fourth, thirty-fourth: you lost, so what. Second? Close second? You almost won but didn't. Ouch.

I can tell he is really upset. You captured the emotion well. Feel bad for him
