We Interrupt Our Regularly Scheduled Programming ...

I'm jumping in with an out-of-the-ordinary post, because it's important. Common Core is one of the government's latest grabs at individual liberty, and not enough people know anything about it. This blog post is one of my first attempts at sounding the alarm: http://ofgreatmind.blogspot.com/2013/04/beware-of-common-core.html

In addition, while we're on the subject of raising awareness, I feel compelled to mention the trial of Philadelphia abortionist Kermit Gosnell. If you haven't heard about the man who killed and permanently maimed many women, and murdered hundreds of babies AFTER they were born, I'm not surprised. The mainstream media, which loves horror shows, has virtually ignored this one. But it's not about politics. It's about common human decency and treating every single person with the respect their inherent human dignity demands. Yesterday, I was heartened to learn that at least one member of the mainstream media was willing to take on the story, and he, himself, wondered about this media blackout. Here's the first paragraph of his article:
The grand jury report in the case of Kermit Gosnell, 72, is among the most horrifying I've read. "This case is about a doctor who killed babies and endangered women. What we mean is that he regularly and illegally delivered live, viable babies in the third trimester of pregnancy - and then murdered these newborns by severing their spinal cords with scissors," it states. "The medical practice by which he carried out this business was a filthy fraud in which he overdosed his patients with dangerous drugs, spread venereal disease among them with infected instruments, perforated their wombs and bowels - and, on at least two occasions, caused their deaths."

Catching up on your posts. Loving the pics of your children.

Terrifying what is happening in this world and our very own country today.
What a contrast to the joy of your family posts. That says something in itself about Gods plans for us and our precious babies.

Thank you for your positive response to this post, Paula. I can tell you, it took a little bit of courage to hit the publish button.

I try to find the good in life and in people, but I can not remain silent about wrongs like abortion and policies that strip Americans of freedom.
