On Friday evening, we drove Luke and Bridget to St. Dominic Academy in Auburn for a youth ministry retreat. After Mass today, the rest of the kids and I picked up Luke and Bridget. It was a quiet weekend without them, but they've been making up for the silence since they got in the car. The two of them have been remembering, rehashing and reliving all the fun they had. Oh, and get this: on Friday evening, as I was leaving, I heard my name and discovered it was being spoken by a college classmate I hadn't seen since graduation day! She lives in Lewiston (used to teach at St. Dominic), but now stays home with her six kids. Catching up with her was wonderful, and I'm hoping we'll stay in touch from now on.
