Last week, Dennis mentioned that he'd like to paint our mess of a living room. Knowing that it's someday slated for demolition, I'd always tried to ignore it — same with the kitchen. Yesterday, I had a change of heart and decided to paint at least two of the kitchen walls, using the lilac paint we bought for the stairway but decided against using there. I got most of one wall painted (we have to move the hutch prior to finishing it), but before I had the brush put away, Stella had managed to place not one, but both, of her feet on a freshly painted wall. I'm glad I hadn't washed the brush.
