Dennis suggested that I use Tolkien's poem about the One Ring for
today's photo. I loved the idea. Most of us have colds (including Stella, who is miserable with aches and a fever), but that didn't stop Henry, Sam and me from spending time out in the rain to keep a fire raging on the grill grate. I hung the chain for the ring from a pair of tongs threaded through the handle on the grill's lid. Here are a few of the shots I got.
