Artwork

Over the past few years, I've read dribs and drabs of Claudia Nice's How to Keep a Sketchbook Journal and have tried my hand at some of the scenes depicted in it. Last week, I started in on a drawing inspired by her interpretation of an area on the Oregon coast. I was hoping to get something decent and learn a thing or two in the process. Days later, I realized that I got more than I bargained for and am happy with the results. This is done with Copic Markers on Yupo paper (which is actually not; it's polypropylene). I love the transient way the alcohol markers set atop the plastic, blend together and resist one another.
