As I've mentioned before, I run on Doyle Time, which means that I'm not exactly punctual. Heck, I still have Christmas gifts to mail. Since I'm not uptight about being on time, I try to extend the courtesy to others. In fact, I think that getting birthday cards and gifts after the big day is nice; it sort of "extends the season." Yesterday, I received a lovely card stuffed with Barnes & Noble gift cards from my Aunt Olga. (I'm sure I'll be able to find something to spend
those on.) Today, I received a gift from Olga's daughter — my cousin — Helen. And what a gift it was: one of Helen's beautiful plein aire oil paintings. It's already hanging in my new studio.
