Jack was not especially happy about being displaced as the baby of the family. For the first few weeks, he often told me, "You no hold Baby Della. Me in your lap." Today, though, when Stella started crying in her crib (which is downstairs; she sleeps in my bed at night), Jack ran into the kitchen to find me and said, "Mom. Baby Della needs you. Baby Della needs you." I picked her up, and Jack offered this helpful advice: "Nurse her. Nurse her."
