Stick Throwing

Sam was excited to go swimming when I told him we were going to the beach; he was disappointed when I told him there'd be no swimming. When we actually got there, Sam found plenty to keep himself occupied, including throwing "arrows." What could he do, but throw them? His bow was at home.

I can't say I've often heard the childhood lament "there's nothing to do... I'm bored" from our kids. If nothing else, they just keep on keepin' on with what's on hand.
