By Any Other Name

This lovely pink rose stood out from its neighbors at the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens in Boothbay. A trip there yesterday was the second field trip of the school year. I had hoped to do some nature study -- drawing some of the flora we encountered, but the kids will have to draw from the photos we took. Everyone was just having too much fun exploring in the woods, throwing stones into the river, splashing in the granite basin of the meditation garden, posing with the "Death Star" and climbing all over the granite monoliths.
